Just in an appendium I have come to realize that our competitors customer base may be a lil under exaggerated in my post and for this i do apologize.

[quote="mr_incredible"]As a Customer Care Rep, I know firsthand that hundreds of customers a day have issues with their bills. I personally get call after call after call about why a customer's balance is so high. Though these calls usually end peacefully, they may actually be preventable, leading to a much more enjoyable experience for the customer. After a long and thorough investigation, i've found the secrets of the Cingular Wireless billing system. I could get myself fired for divulging this hidden treasure, but its well worth the risk. This is top-secret, high-level proprietary information, so only read the next line if you really want to know the key to understanding your Cingular bill...
I hope you can help me since you work for Cingular. I desperately need to know the phone number that is sending text messages to one of my cell phones and also the number that my cell phone is sending text messgaes to. (its my husbands phone, but the account is in my name.) Also, how can I view these messgaes? I would loveto be able to do that, but if nothing else, I need the number that is involved in this much too frequent text message conversation!
Our detailed bill shows all the numbers that we call and get calls from, but not for text messaging.
Thanks in advance!!

If Cingular is anything like T-Mobile . . .
Call them and ask them to unsuppress zero indicators. We don't show things that you weren't charged for like messages and VM calls. If you tell them that you want to see the SMS charges on the bill I'm sure there's a way to turn it on.
Or, if your online billing is anything like ours, you should be able to see it there. I can see all my message records on My T-Mobile.
You probably can't view the messages, though. I had a customer once who claimed she could see her messages on her computer by visiting tmomail.net, but no one in the whole call center had any clue what she was talking about.

PS..where do the CSR's get their training??? |
So whats the joke? In case you people havent figured it out yet let me spit a lil atcha.
Cingular while not having the best cust service, pwns every other provider just on network size and strength alone. But if you want to get into specifics we can.
Mobile to Mobile calling with cingular, included free of charge with any new rollover plan , allows you to call any of our 52 million customers and never pay a cent for airtime...ever. now u can add together our two closest competitors customer base together and not have that many people.
Rollover minutes are a Cingular exclusive, that allows you to keep unused minutes from previous months for an unheard of 12 consecutive months. NO other provider can even come close to touchin that.
No Roaming No long distance. Ever. Unlike every other provider who advertise the feature, We are the only ones to truly provide it. Off network, on network it matters not one bit. No other company can even claim that one.
Our features do NOT require you to be on network for them to work. *coughINcough* or any other mobile-mobile for that matter........
So i mean really, in light off all that , where's the joke?
Maybe on our competitors. All we really need to do now is work on our CC a little. The way things keep goin we'll be number one soon enough. |
not sure what you are talking about the no roaming off the network. I was visiting Hong Kong and my friends from LA called my number I answered it and was charged roaming almost $3/min. Ten quick 1 minute calls cost me $25. Maybe you mean roaming in the US????
Also I do not get this thing with Cingular ATT and Rogers Wireless in Canada. A friend of mine can roam Rogers and ATT networks in Philidelphia and Toronto and does not have any Roaming issues just uses his minutes in his Plan. Cingular Bought ATT so it stands to reason that Cingular customers should be able to roam Rogers Wireless without additional fees and this is not the case, So I ask you why???
Also I'm getting ready to dump Cingular because I have not seen any descent GPRS unlimited plan. I do not get this domestic KB are Cheaper than international KB. Folks TCP packets are identical and are independant of calling zones of the old PSTN, I do not know what they are smoking at Cingular to think people are going to put up with that crap.

Money hungry mongrels rule the world and they suck. They suck they suck they suck. Now that I've vented, I also think Cingular is prolly the best. I work for them. And if youre a customer reading this, for every stupid a$$ customer there is a stupid as he!! rep. You do the math, w/ Now* 58 mil customers, there is a good chance you'll get a, yeah. So, I digress. I'll shut up. Im disgruntled.

Cingular doesnt even suck the big one, what other provider would you go with? For people who love cells phones for what they do more then customer service skills Cingular is the provider, i've had cell phone service for 10 years, and i've only called customer care once. It's you people who call in everyday something miniature happens, oh my gosh my phone service didnt work in this one specific area for all of 20 seconds, no i'm not in that area now, but i missed out on a $50, 000 business deal. Give me a break, if your foolish enough to use your phone for business you deserved the loss, if you call in to complain to customer care for something that foolish, you deserve to be spit on. It's not how horrible the customer service is, its how petty most of the customers are. Ya'll need a life and stop harassing people for something that even in your head seems a little stupid but you thought you would just call in to be facetious and torment the people who are trying to help you. They give you the answers, but they're not what you think is right so you sit and argue your heads off until you either break them down, or you get so sick of being proven wrong you ask to speak with their supervisor, who tells you the same thing but its still not good enough so you hang up and call back. Who works for cingular and who doesnt? Who knows how our systems work and who doesnt? The whole statement "the customer is always right" was made up by some incesent little rat who tormented people in customer care, it wasnt made up by any corporate business because your not always right as a matter of fact your usually wrong thats why they created such departments as customer care, to help you with issues you have no idea about. So get off your high horse, stop being stupid, and stop worrying about the little things in life such as cell phone service.
