we have the same opinions about customer service.
the difference between you and I is that Im not going to go cry on an online web board. Why not? cause it wont do shit for me. Its a lame way to try and make people feel sorry for you. and Also, this thread has nothing to do about youre problems, it was about people who work as CSRs. So why post here? hmm
Oh, speaking of, Im done with this conversation in this thread because once again, wrong thread.

I post here to help people out occasionally and laugh at the ones who can't turn on a phone much less read their contract or owners manual.

Yeah, my original post in this thread was a jab TexasCsr
Of course, I can't resist adding one more thing about people being unable or unwilling to read contracts.
Contracts are by nature worded so that the layman has difficulty understanding them. It's not just consumers who do not understand them, but representatives for companies as well.
Now if the person chooses not to try to read it, I'd have to agree with you TexasCSR.

The thing is, most people fail to make an attempt. Simple solution, call us. I know for a fact not all reps take pride in their jobs...I do. I know for a fact most reps are idiots hired off the streets...I'm not.
It's just a matter of being friendly, calling us in and askin us for help. Afterall, it's what we get paid for.
I know the wireless industry can be shady, reps can be shady, retail sales can be shady, but what on this green earth isn't?
I just wished most customers who call in and complain, would read something they have a signature on as well as their SSN. For christs sake, if you're giving away your SSN without reading anything...I wish you the best.
I can understand your issues Cellboob and I hope you get them resolved. I have been in a similar situation before with Tmobile. Whether you stay with Cingular or not, good luck

I agree and thanks.
Since you seem to be the type that would be interested TexasCSR, I HIGHLY suggest that you look up information on UCC 1-207. As well as anyone else who cares about reserving their rights.
After learning a bit more about that, I seriously doubt you will ever sign any contract without it I know I don't!

But it would be nice to see alittle bit of every provider posting in here so this just doesnt become another Cingular Talk forum. To start this I thought it would be cool for everyone to post whom they are working for and their position in the company (CSR, Tech rep, Data rep, etc..). I will start.
Provider -> T-Mobile
Position -> Senior Rep/Floor Support |
Hi all, is this question strictly for Cingular/AT&T or for all wireless employees?
Thanks

Thank you DuceDuc,
I have moved on to another position within a different company however, for the last 6 yrs I was a Senior Field Engineer for Southern LINC. For those of you who do not know the name. Here is a little bit about them.
Southern LINC uses the same iDEN technology (TDMA) provided by Motorola, same as Nextel. The difference being that Nextel is nationwide whereas SoLINC is regional. Limited to a 4 state area: Georgia, Florida (Panhandle), Mississippi & Alabama.
They are a private wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Company which is a very large power company in the US.
Enough about me and my former company!!

you think you got it bad texas. We have a sales quota in store but we still have to deal with the hundreds of ignorant people that BRING their contract in HAND IT TO US and ASK US when the contract expires. or ASK US how many minutes they have eveyr month.
makes me want to slap the $h!t outta them.
