I know I've posted on here before where I work, but I can't really remember where, so *shrugs* oh well. That's life.
I am formerly an AT&T Business End User Care (BEUC) Specialist (Their term, not mine), but was moved to Small Business Care before my demise at that call center's location.
Now, I'm working for Best Buy Mobile. I deal with a number of different carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile, Cricket, Kajeet, Jitterbug, MetroPCS, Verizon INpulse, T-Mobile FlexPay/No Contract, AT&T GoPhone, and sometimes Alltel and US Cellular [though we don't carry any phones for the last one]), and TONS of phones and accessories. The really sad thing is that we can only provide basic information for the customer (which sucks, IMHO, but I don't make the rules), anything more than that, and we have to refer the customer to a best buy store or to their carrier.
My favorite is dealing with unlocked phones and telling people that the frequency used by the phone isn't compatible with international travel. People try to get away with buying the cheapest phones available, only to find they don't work on the frequencies used by Barbados, or Brazil, or South Africa or where ever they are. *sigh* some people just don't understand.

Working for T-Mobile as both a Tier 2 Blackberry/PDA Tech as well as a Sidekick/DDC Tech (in both queues, grr). Posted a lengthy rant on the T-Mobile forum before noticing the CSR forum.
Now I've got to go to sleep so I can listen to more 14 year olds who can't operate their sidekicks and 50 year olds who can't operate their blackberries tomorrow! Yay!
Seriously though I enjoy my job
