How about those IT guys at Cingular - any of 'em visit these forums? How about I come into work ONE day without any billing software issues??? Telegence use to be a pleasure to deal with - I use to love it when a customer called in with issues in a telegence market - now I CrInGe!

CARE billing, well that's just a lost cause - those programmers have edited that code so many times and left so many errors that it is damn near impossible for that piece of software to even open an account without flaws -

You guys outsourced now?? C'mon, what's the deal?

Radio guy,

Let me take a stab at this... you're also a HAM to add to your credit, right? Nothing wrong with that... however, you're absolutely right about technology - it use to require skill to build or work on your own project - now you're counting on the microprocessors and circuits too small for your eyes to even see, already embedded on a PCB with traces you couldn't hardly follow with an electron microscope -

I remember as a kid, getting this radioshack circuit kit - running wires from spring to spring and concluding with a simple one band shortwave radio - I was really excited because I really thought I had accomplished something - now, heh - you can participate in an internet voice/video conference with seemingly an infinite number of people from around the world and not think twice.

There's so much everyone takes for granted. Cellular technology is just a blip of what we'll see 5 years down the road in the communications sector - and our customers are ALREADY expecting perfection and yelling if they get dropped calls -
