I currently work for Cingular Advanced Network Services Tier III rep for PDA's, Blackberries, and wireless modem cards. Hoping to soon be working for WDS global providing third party Tier IV support in their mixed call center.

Formerly worked in AWS GSM/TDMA dual skilled care, then switched to orange business care.

Thanks, Sam. I hang out occasionally on other wireless type boards like Howardforums, but I've never seen one that was dedicated to CSRs. I love that idea.

Hi all,

I work as CSR Analyst Review for Cingular Wireless. I'm the guy that tells the agents in the stores their customer is approved with a 750 dollar depost. I also review the customers accounts when you guys are turning their phones back on after they have been cancelled for non payment.

I posted earlier on another board here. It was a long rant but it felt good to get it out. I think it was an interesting read anyway. icon_smile.gif

Thank you Mr. Moderator for this board.

Have a great day all.

I work for Verizon Wireless in Portland, Or. I've been a cell site technician for 10 years now. I started back when analog was your only choice! How things have changed. I'm responsible for 30 sites supporting CDMA 2G, 3G, 1X and now EVDO hi speed data. We run on a lucent platform that provides great flexibility for upgrades and new technologies. This has been a great job and a great company to work for.

You may be the person who can answer this, please.
When you're at cell sites for troubleshooting or repair, what sort of repairs do you perform? In other words, is there any pattern to the repairs you've done? Also, is there a website that relates to ceel-site breakdowns & repairs? Does the "Cell Site Technician" climb the tower for antenna repair?

How did you get to be a Cell-Site Technician? I'm fascinated with this wireless business, ...been an RF Tech. for decades, not to mention digital & analog, etc. and I'd love to get as many FYI's as possible to gain a position in cell site troubleshooting & repair.

what the hell is a "delighted pleasure?" have t-mobile's people ever heard of correct grammar?

and i WAS going to sign with T-mobile, but i can't possibly sign a contract with a company whose employees use such vernacular!

i'm going with Cingular because they can "talk good" icon_wink.gif

Hey Verbal, ...

Democrats suck BETTER! You're obviously a lib what with your reference to "talk good".

Dem's. are all talk! Imagine if Kerry would've been the Man, he'd of sent the police after Osama with a warrant for his arrest. Doesn't that make ya feel all good inside?

Hi all;

I'm a Tier 2 Tech rep (Outsourced) for Cingular. I enjoy the challenges I face when a CSR calls up and says "I have a customer who's having VM issues." "Ok, so what's going on?" "Oh, I don't know and he doesn't have the phone with him..." LOL. All that aside, I do enjoy my job, I like to help others. I started here in "New Acct Services" for ATT, Then "THE MERGER" I changed to "Credit and Activations", then I changed to Cingular "Customer Care", then "CAT" (Customer Advocate Team), now "Tier 2 Tech".
I found this board while searching, in the hopes of, getting my 2 Nokia 6010's subsidy unlocks.

Nice to meet all of you.

P.S I'm also a tuner novice... Hey I do have a life! icon_smile.gif)
