Hey,
I've recently bought a 512mb mmc card for my 6230, so i can slap a load of MP3's and AAC's on it, so i can listen to them while travelling.
The problem is, i have to keep pressing "down" to get the next track. And this is a pain. Is there any way i can get the phone to "Random" or just play track after track.
If it's any help it has v 4.44 firmware.
Thanks
Kris

Have you ever tried going to options -> Play options?

Are you playing the songs through gallery and accessing each file?
Try these short cuts
MENU
6
1
Music Player
--------------
Options
Play Option
If you have your files in sub folders they wont work on your firmware an you will have to put some playlists on. Or you can get v.5.24 or later to get a music player that detects all tracks.
Good luck

If you can get a firmware update then i suggest you do. If not you can either make sure you put all your tracks in the root of your MMC card (No folders) Or use MobiMB or Nokia Audio Mananger to make some playlists, you will need a DKU-2 cable for this though.
I have noticed without play lists on such a large card it has a habbit of skipping portions of tracks or just crashing.

Hey,
I found that. But it's Playing the clips that are stored on the phone rather than the MMC.I can'y get it to read those either.I've deleted them out of a seperate folder which i created on the MMC, but still no luck.Does this sound like i need a firmware upgrade then, or am i missing something?
Thanks

use the music player, under media. with version 4.44 (which i also use), the mp3 can either be stalled in phone memory, folder "music files" , or the mmc( root dir, not in any folder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). then inside the music player, go opeions, track list, options, refresh track list. ur songs should all go there but they must BE IN THE ROOT DIR OF UR MMC, OR IN THE PHONE MEMORY FOLDER MUSIC FILES. otherwise, only firmware 5.24 and above then u can play mp3in any folder that the music player will detect...........sad right......i agree.

Hey,
Got it sorted.
Create a playlist on PC suite.
Drag into a folder which was created on the MMC
Go into Music Player on the Phone
Options
Track List
options
Change Track List
Then select the .m3u file created by pc suite
Job Done
Thanks for all your info guys
