I work at Futureshop and one of the guys was turing 19 so we all went for drinks at the near by caseys. A few beers later and my second trip to the bathroom all i heard was "thump" i was like oh shit!. I fished it out without thinking twice since it is a $450 on a 3 year contract. I then went to my computer repairs b/f and told him what happend. He just laughed and turned off the phone and took out the battery. (YES THE PHONE WAS STILL ON) he later went home and took the whole phone apart and dryed everything with a q-tip. the next morning he took a blow dryer and dryed everything. Turned on the phone and everything worked. The speaker phone, camera, keys, sim EVERYTHING. So if you drop your phone in water take it out right away ake out the battery and then take everything apart. Dry with a blow dryer on low heat and pray for the best. Dry off every chip in the phone with a q-tip and do not turn it on till you are sure it is dry. My phone i never turned on till there was no mosture anytwhere no condistation behind the screen. Anyways if it is water you are fine. But salt and pop water will kill your phone. Its like a keyboard you spill water on it you are ok but you spill pop and you are screwed.

Hi,
I would advise you to open your phone and use a spray like WD-40 with a Toothbrush. Then let it rest for a day

Maby not wd-40, but rubbing alchol.

If it's frsh water, take out the battery ASAP and let it sit for 24 hours w/ a fan on it. You shoudn't need to take it apart if it's only fresh water. If it's not, and you don't want to, dunk it in distiled water and rinse it w/ distiled water (with the battery out!). You may think that more water is bad, but you are getting rid of all the salt (corrosion) from your phone.
