Hey guys, mabe someone can help me out there. I gave my wife a Nokia 3595 that my company does'nt use any more or just got lost in the craks. Some how she changed the security settings on the phone and now everytime I turn the phone on it'll say sim card rejected, but when I call the number it goes straight to voice mail or when the phone is on it'll say that the user is on the phone. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Is there a factory default reset code you can key in for the 3595? Try that, and if it still rejects the SIM card, get another one from your provider. It should be free.

the factory security code is 12345
however if the screen says enter PUK code call your sevice provide for the override...
if it says sim disabled you need a new sim

Try these:
*#7370# to format
*#7780# to factory reset
You may need to Send the code to activate it. You may also need to boot the phone without the SIM card in order to enter these.

elmo, not the security code for the phone, but a master reset that restores factory settings on the phone.

These codes are for Symbian OS phones... the 3595 doesn't have Symbian OS, so they won't work.
It's quite a cheap phone.
Two possible things have happend:
A: the SIM card is blocked by your provider.
Hot to test:
Try the SIM card in another phone. If it doesn't works there, call your provider.
B: the phone itself has blocked the SIM. This shouldn't happen with just little settings chaning... there has to be a major misuse happend.
This could maybe disabled by starting the phone with another SIM-card inserted and the security settings should changed. There's a setting that's checking the SIM (no idea at the moment what the name of it is). This should be disabled. Than the SIM-card of your wife should work again.
Does the phone really directly say "SIM card rejected"?

Ah, that would explain why some of the codes I've found won't work on my 6230....most posts just list them as generic Nokia codes.
I've learned my new thing for the day. Can I go home now?
