Hi.
Recently, when I have tried to make a local call, when I send it, IMMEDIATELY, "Call Failed:Network Busy" comes on. If I ever make a call outside of my area code, the call goes through, so I tried using my area code for local calls and it works. Does anyone know why this happens? If so, do you know any way that this can be fixed? (I also know I probably sound REALLY lazy [Three numbers to dial], but it is a pain to get used to dialing the area code on my cell phone when I just dial the number on my landline.)
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It maybe the network that is causing you to dial the area code within your home area. I dial and save all my contacts with the 1+area code.

Even though I do not have any bright answers to this, Cingular Requires that you dial the area code and the number at all times.
From what I hear, the numbers across the country are wearin soo thin that this helps isolate calls to a different person though the same phone number in a different area code.

I was told you are pickting up AT&T towers and there is a conflict. You need to let cingular know that there is a problem in that area so they can fix it.
