I have this nokia 6610 and i had problem of swithing off and i had to upgrade the OS and now I find the resolution of the image is not so good, this would look something like if the proper display adapter driver software is not loaded in your PC. bad resolution.we could find that only on image files.

1. The 6610 has no OS, what you mean is the Firmware. It's not really a OS. It's kinda BIOS I would say.
2. I don't get your point

Ah, now I get the point.
Once we had that topic. I can't explain it. Only in that, that there are maybe some colours are used, which the phone can't display.
Same when you run the desktop of your pc in 256 colours (save mode).

Not that.
If you run your desktop with 256 colours, most pictures look awful, because not all colours couldn't be displayed. I think that's why some pictures couldn't displayed alright at the 6610. They just don't have one of the 4096 colours.

If the colour isn't supported, a firmware update is useless. It won't increase the cout of colours.
