I have tried all of Cingulars settings and talked to level 2 support.
Still NO media net, get the 502 error. Whats the scoop on this? Please dont tell me that I have to brand this with Cingulars version of firmware.
Can anyone get this working on a phone like what I have.
Thanks in advance

You will need to flash it with the Cingular branded flash using the Motorola PST program. It took me 2 weeks to find it. I got the MediaNet to work but the MMS is still evading me. If you know how e-mail me. Please don't send me the settings or the link to Cingular support, all my settings are correct. I am a Cingular dealer. If I can help point you in the right direction for the software let me know.

if the mms is not working... the settings are not correct...or the phone is defective...
a common mistake is the APN in the MMS setup... validate the setting ie EXACTLY the same as the Cingular support site

If I can get to yahoo and other sites than the wap should be working fine?
Yes , ? NO? But heres the thing, when I goto like yahoo I always get this Accept selection at the top of the screen? I can verify that my settings are totally set as in whats on Cingulars site, BUT ! How many other people out there have the same type phone that is unbranded, and unlocked, by this I mean does everyone go and brand there phone just to get the internet for use? I appreciate all the suggestions, and have been considering flashing with an unlocked Cingular flex, BUT why buy a phone in this state and than have to brand it? Maybe I am missing something here?

MMS and wap are separate entities that have similar settings but do different things
your ability to access the internet has no bearing on your MMS abilities on the phone...
the mms profile was it set to default?

I just got my unlocked razr and had the same problem. I called cingular and pretended I was still using my old phone to get the correct settings, but the browser still wouldn't connect. (settings are also on their web site)GPRS wasn't working, therefore I couldn't connect. Tech thought it was a SIM problem, so I took the old phone with SIM card to a retail store. It ended up to be a problem with my account. Cingular had my account set up so that I couldn't access the browser (kind of like child locks on my phone). They reset the account and it works perfectly.

I recently bought an L6 on Ebay, and it appears to be originally from Malaysia. I have Cingular and I got MEdia Net to work just fine(I created a new web session and entered in all the correct info). My problem is with the MMS. The phone came with these pre-installed foreign entries under WEB SESSIONS like "Celcom GPRS","DiGi MMS", and some others... The phone only allows me to create ONE new web session (which i used for MEdia Net) and it wont allow me to delete those other forign web sessions at all, they must be locked or something. Is there a way to somehow remove those unwanted web sessions, or create another one so i can use it for MMS? Has anybody else had this problem with a foreign L6? Any info would be great as i am a novice to all this!! thanks so very much

I have a Motorola v635 that I bought unlocked and I can access MediaNet just fine but not send MMS messages. Most of these guides here have different menus to setup the GPRS and MMS settings but my v635 does not have a menu option to setup MMS.
Any v635 users that have sucessfully setup their MMS and know where the menu is in the phone?
