Okay, here is my deal. I want to sign up with T-Mobile's family plan, with out a contract. I already have the two GSM phones that I will be using. What I need to know is, what do I need to do to get around a contract with Tmobile? Im only 17, and need to get a cell back now. My friend bought a GSM phone off of eBay that was unlocked, went to Cingular, bought a sim card, and then hassled with Cingular on the phone forever until they let him sign up without a contract. What I want to know is what I need to say/do to do the same, but with T-Mobile instead. T-Mobile has awesome coverage in my area and I want to use it badly. Let me know... thanks....

Seriously it like a 1 year contract!, contact t-mobile tell them what you want to do, and dont plan on getting a promotional family time plan (the good ones!). Or you can agree to a 1 year contract get 2 new phones and jump on one of T-Mobile's family time promo's. If you have 2 phones already you could prob sell the ones that they will give you for free and get almost enough money to buy out of the contract if you want to cancel.

ahhh over looked that, the thing is you will not be able to go postpaid period unless you have it in someone elses name. Contract or not.

I'm not sure if you can do that. Your friends address may be needed to run the credit check with the social#. Not sure about it, but when I checked my credit myself, address verfication was required

When I checked my credit report at freecreditreport.com my address was on my credit report. I do not know if the same is true on tmobile's system
