I have Cingular service in CT. I repeatedly get interrupted calls (with 3 beeps) with strong antenna and battery signals. It happens in many geographic locations. I have called Cingular repeatedly over this issue. They have replaced the phone twice but no help.
What can I do?
thanks

Have sim card tested if you have already gone through a couple of phones, can be done at Cingular dealer or if you have alternate Cingular phone try your sim in that, if you still have same problem then you need to by new sim card.

I got thru to third tier tech support today and I happened to ask him about the sim card. He said that the card could not be causing this problem.

He said that everything seems correct on their end and that all they could do is send another phone. I said that I have already gone thru 3 phones and that there must be some other problems. He said that this sometimes happens and that I should try another phone. Because of my repeated need for a new phone they are upgrading me from a Nokia 1100 to a Nokia 6010 (I think that was the number)

Well, they sent me another 1100 (rather than a 6010) which works and does not disconnect. BUT, the battery charger does not work! (That is in the phone, not the AC charger, itself).
So, as I write this I am on hold listening to that damn world music for Cingular support. I even know their support number now by heart.
Uggh.

Very specifically, when you get dropped calls in multiple locations, it is the phone. This is apretty much a non-negotiable thing. Even the worst and smallest 'ma and pa' cell towers owners will get adequate reception to the customer. When it happens in a number of locations, the only common denominator is the handset. Even though you've replaced it a few times, the dynamic doesn't change.
