i just got my replacement v400 b.c my old one went bad. now i want to move my pictures to the new phone. i dont have email on my phone so i saw i could get a usb cable to hook my phone up to the computer. do i just need the cable or do i need a program? if i need a program does anyone have it to download or send me?

u need cable or bluetooth to transfer your pics. and also, MPT.
or u can send the pics to your frens fone via BT then ask him/her to send it back to u you. unless of course u do not want to buy a cable or BT adapter and coincedencely your frens has those.
and of course u can just borrow a cable from your fren.

now if i buy a cable and mobile phone tools through cingular does that allow transfer of pictures, mp3s, ringtones, games and all that? i dont want to pay 50 dollars for something that wont do me any good

that site shows v2.0 will that work? can i update it to the newest or will any version work to transfer pics from my old phone to my computer then to my nwe phone?

That is after install it then do live up date will take you to 3.23 but will take couple of hours you can see why. But 2.0 is enought to work with V400 but hwy stop there whne you can get the latest?

someone said i could use a usb 5 pin but where do i plug that into on my phone?

5 pin USB(minu USB) is for assorted models only, your phone only accepts the moto cable. So try to pick up the software and cable on ebay or the link provided above.
