help me! i was changing the housing for my v551, and after i found that the keypad was wrong for the phone (the housing was for a v400), i tried taking apart the housing.. and it ends up i put the wrong screws into the wrong socket. now the whole thing is twisted apart. the piece of hardware that the keypad uses to send commands to the LCD, the bottom part of it, where u would plug in the charger.. that area is twisted. the screen isnt showing anything either! someone please help me! please let me know if u know where i can buy the hardware for the keypad or if u know another way to fix it! thanks in advance guys

I don't know about the whole thing other than buying a new one, but as far as the screen not showing anything I'd imagine you either didn't plug in the LCD ribbon all the way or you pinched it. So try taking it apart and plugging it in firmly and if still nothing then you must have pinched it and will have to replace it.

Sorry for bad news, but do try to check all the connections. And if the case is off its recommended you return for a different one as a faulty fit will just lead to problems later down the road...But Hope it turns out for you!

hm. i need some more help. it turns out that the LCD screen wasnt dead, as i thougth it was. it just seems that the LCD screen doesnt light up. do I still need to get a new OEM flex cable for it? or could I do something else to fix this? like reconnect the wires?

Hm...if it turns on but no backlight maybe goto the settings and see if it wasn't disabled. Menu>Settings>Initial Setup>Backlight: and then see if that wasn't set to off maybe. Other than that I think a flex or flex cable should do it.
