Hello, I'm new and have readed a lot, but I can't find any answer to this:
I have a e316 from at&t, and I have flashed it with the e315 software, to activate it with a 1900 operator.. but somehow when it ended, the display has no light at all.. I have tried with the secret code of the LCD contrast but didn't work.. please somebody help... or does anyone know where can I download the e316 firmware?? PLS

For future reference... Whatever you do, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH E315 firmware onto a E316/E317.
Frequency/Band differences come from Hardware, NOT from the firmware itself!
E315 = 900/1900 firmware from T-Mobile. Firmware is the buggiest out of all firmwares inthe E31x series. That's why T-Mobile replaced this model VERY QUICKLY.
E316 = 850/1900 firmware from either AT&T Wireless or Rogers Wireless. Arguably the best firmware in the E31x series.
E317 = 850/1900 firmware from Cingular Wireless. It has a new, cubic menu system (or whatever it's called. You see this type of menus on newer Samsung phones). This firmware is branded all over the place!
