Hi ,im form Croatia.I have a problem with my samsung e300 gsm.I borrowed from my frend usb IrDA device.I have installed it to my computer,but when i activate it,my computer cannot find my mobile phone.On my gsm an icon apeare that is connected to Irda,but computer doesnt find my gsm.,Then i cant send anything to my gsm.At my frends laptop irda finds my gsm.My frend came to me.he has Sony Ericsson k500,and my computer recognize his gsm,and he can send pictures and other media.please help.Thanx

Is the IrDa port of the phone (That redBlack Thing) aimed at the usb IrDA device?

Need to understand more details about your problem. What S/W are you using to connect your phone to your PC? Are you using Easy GPRS? Did you see the IrDA icon on the PC's taskbar (bottom right corner) when you pointed the IrDA dongle to your phone's IrDA window?

i have installed easy gprs,but it cant find my gsm.The icon doesnt appeare
on the taskbar.That is my problem.i am now in colledge on the computer,and this computer finds my gsm,and the icon appere,but at home it doesnt.Do you know what is the problem?Thanx.Tjodalv

If the IrDA icon didn't show up in the taskbar that means it cannot find your phone. Since you mentioned in your earlier post that your PC can recognize your friend's SE K500, I don't think there is any problem with the USB Infra red driver installation. At the same time, you also mentioned that your phone can be recognized in other computer so I suppose you have already enabled IrDA in your phone. I am really clueless at this point. May be you can try uninstall and reinstall the USB Infra red driver again and see if it solve the problem.
