Hi guys:

So, the screen broke on my motorola v66. The phone seems to function otherwise.

I am ready to upgrade, probably going for a v180. However, like an idiot, I never saved the phonebook on my v66 to its sim card.

I really need to save my phone book to the sim card. The user's manual tells you what steps to take, but it relies on visual cues (for example, "go to such and such menu and select "options". Since I can't see where "options" is, it is useless to me).

If anyone has a v66 and feels like helping me out I would greatly appreciate it. What I need are instructions for a blind man.

For example,

1.) Press menu once
2.) Scroll down 5 times
3.) Press enter.
4.) Scroll down 2 times

Etc.

Does this make sense?

I promise in the future I will A.) not hold onto dinosaur cell phones for so long and B.) always keep an updated phone book on my sim card.

Thanks!

Agreed with Old_Fool that would be much easier...But you need cable and sync software (neither are hard to grab) MPT will come in handy with your new V180 anyways.

I would! Just bought a replacement display online and can't find instructions for installing it. The thing is apparently held in place bby adhesive but it's noit clear if it should just be pried up, how to disconnect the red wire, etc. I'm not at all sure which are the electrical contacts and how to make sure they are properly seated.

I have a manual, but seeing that it doesn't give you step by step instructions- I would not be able to copy my numbers from my phone to my sim... cause my screen is dead! icon_redface.gif
