Does Activating a Cellphone cost Money? And how much if it does. And how about Deactivating it? Because I'm getting a cellphone that WAS Prepaid but is going to go out of service and then I want it on a Monthly bill for Cingular! Please e-mail me at lexandra1202@gmail.com , Thanks.

if you have time left on it...let it run out... there is no cost in "deactivating" a prepaid phone... to transfer to a postpaid service you must go into a store(not sure if you can do it over the phone) to get a new sim..

OH so you mean if it still has minutes let it run out, and then i have to go to the store to "deactivate it" and then they give me a new sim card to "activate" it? How much does it cost to get a new Sim Card?
