Everytime i try to call my voice mail with my T720 i get a call failed. So I thought it was a problem with my cell phone. But now i have a new cell phone (v400) and when i hold one or juss dial my number i still get a call failed. How can i fix this? Thanks.

Sounds like your vm number is not setup or have been deleted. Call your provider.

thanks for your help. I emailed my service provider which is rogers here in Canada. And they said to call them up so they can program it to my phone. Just wondering, I have a v400 and its a Fido phone, not rogers but I got it unlocked to work with rogers. So should i tell her my model when she asks? I am just curious if this is going to be a problem with them, or should i just say i have a model they do have like Motorola v551. Thanks

IIRC Rogers bought Fido...but anyway...
the VM function of your phone is a server number that has to be programmed into your phone...let them wonder...its your phone as long as you pay the bills they wont care too much... it may take a more experienced rep to work with a phone he/she isnt used to...

Well If you have a friend that has the same carrier ask them to see the phone and find out their voicemail number, usually its the prefix of your number and some other series like 1234 as it is for us cingular users. So find out and try to insert the number into yours.

hmm i already know the password and stuff and when i click voice mail setup i already have my number in there, i can check it perfectly fine using my home phone or another cell. So what if i did call and they asked what my phone model is? what would dey make a bid deal if I have a v400 or not? thats all i really wanna kno.

Nope, as elmo said as long as your a paying customer they couldn't care what phone you have. The only issue you have to follow is the fact that you might need to speak to a more experienced rep as most of them I can guarantee aren't exactly trained to the V400 as they don't carry them. So call around and see what you can do.
