i just bought my second d500 and this one has the same problem my old one didnt, from what ive been reading over the past 2 weeks the only solution is new firmware, im really scared to do it though, my luck is terrible and i never done it before..
I have another question also... If my computer power or something were to go wrong while flashing is the phone as good as garbage, or can u reflash it to bring it back to life. I mean i dont mind flashing it numnerous times in order to get it done but dont want to ruin the phone. So if i do a mistake is the phone trash or can i reflash it again and it will be all better?

I have upgraded the firmware on my D500 and it didn't fix the soft ringing for two seconds 'problem' - I think it's designed to be like that!

This is my second d500 phone, and my best friend has one. My old one and his both have normal ringers but this new one has that ascening ringer we all hate. I thought it was the firmware. I havnt flashed my phone yet, I just bought a sony k750i so when i get that in im going to attempt to flash my phone (so if i break it im not without a phone). I think that it is the firmware, but possibly the newer models have this. I think that the normal models are made cheaper too. my old one was so much better. So i should be flashing my phone within the next week i will let you know if that fixes the problem.

Hi! I have the german Provider o2. All works fine, except when I switch on the mobile, the logo from another provider, E-Plus ,is displáyed. I have nothing to do with this provider and I would like to desactivate it, to unlock it. How can I do that without damage? How can I also install a new firmware? I would appreciate your help. Thanks
