I have a moto. v180 thru Tmobile. Is there anyway to prevent my caller id from being sent? in other words I don't want other ppl to see my caller id (mostly just the number) when I call them. thanx

You can call them but if your in the phone book it will show your name...to hide it and say Private or Unknown ID then go into the phonebook and before making the call hit: Menu>Hide ID then call them.

Im mostly concerned with home caller ids (not other cell phones). My mom is having problems with my stepfather and she don't want him to get her cell phone number. I'm trying to see if I can block it for her

Call your provider. They should have a way to block for all persons you call to or in some providers cased, the will provide you with a simple code to dial before dialing the number. Give them a call.
