Hi, I have Mobile PhoneTools 3.0 and I have Motorola V300 phone. I connected it to the computer with a USB modem. Everything works, exept, that i CAN'T transfer anything fom my phone to the computer , i can only transfer things from the computer.
WHY?????
Its very annoying. And when I try to copy the pictures folder to my computer, it sais that connection has been broken by phone.
And this hasn't worked from the beggining. I am very !
So help me pleeease!

I had the same problem...what I did was installed the generic driver. Then I let it install the P2k drivers. After I opened up the MPT program and set the driver manually. So far it works for me now reliably.

Psh...hungarians are cool, but setaside the generic driver is in Windows. You simply delete any drivers you may have installed in the device manager. Right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware(Tab on top)>Device Manager>Modem>Motorola Modem(right click uninstall)(assuming you have XP) now load up MPT and tell it New phone from the menu.
Prompt comes up, USB, BT, or IrDA select USB and continue,
Now it says plug in your phone. Do that and let it take its action, then when its done usually it will say (for me it did) phone not found. Continue without installing a modem, then in mpt hit F6>Communication>Change Modem>It will read it>Then select Manual from list>GSM>V300. Then boom it should be working right, if not then I'll have to try some other troubleshooting method.

I did what you said. It found the modem. Everything shuold be working, but it wont open the pictures, only th audio. (It still writes that: connection has been broken blablabla...) I can copy audio from phone to the computer, but not pictures... weird. Oh, yes, and when it dissconnects, a little phone appears on the display which shows that it is not connected, but when i close the phone, and "power it up" again, it works again...
Any ideas?
Should i update the software? I did it once, and it went crazy... but I could try it again. What do you think?

Well Yes try to update it again. And also, always plug in phone before opening software and closing software before removing phone, saves you a little bit of hassle. Mine also started working better after I installed the P2k drivers.

oh, I give up!
I'll ask my brother to do it for me, and if he fails too, I'll install the p2k thing!
Thanx a lot for your help. If I'll be able to get it work, I'll tell how I did it.
xxx
wish me luck
