I forgot the 4 digit code that is used to unlock my phone. Is there some sort of a master reset button for this code? I've tried the last four of my social, last four of the phone #, and 1234. Nothing is seeming to work.
As well, I'm traveling next week and need my phone. Cingular told me that they couldn't do it due to it being a Moto and that there were no master reset passwords, but it sounds like a load of bull to me.
Please help. This is driving me mad.

This might and will clear out thing you have install and put the fone back to the way it was before so you may loose in fo of fone book and stuff, here we go
at home screen hit menu key then right the way enter 048263* to get to opcode then type
18*0 then hit ok ( master reset )
18*1 then click ok ( master clear).
Post back with result, if not working will go another route to get it

Edit: Okay I've downloaded smartmoto and have a data cable, but SM won't find my phone. Is there something I should be doing differently?

For the SM not connecting, that sounds like the drivers aren't initializing, make sure the proper drivers are in and try again maybe? And opcoding should do the trick if you can get into the phone in general, as for unlock code for V600 do you mean subsidy unlock or the 4 digit unlock code? If the 4 digit thats available to reset in the ways above, the stock code is 1234 and for subsidy you can view the sticky thread on unlocking.

I have a motorola v551 that I just bought from cingular but the problem is that I need an unlock code for it. I am still on the AT&T network and I cant switch to cingular because I'm on a family plan that I dont control. Cingular keeps telling me that they have no way of knowing the code and that there is nothing they can do, which I know is a load of bull. Please help me
