OK, so if I'm reading this right, I can get a game on the phone WITHOUT going through midway and all that java app loader stuff? Gotta try it out, this is exactly what I am looking for.

TagHeuer has a F1 racing game they are giving away (not warez, more like advertising their products it looks like), and I've been searching for a way to get it on the phone. This might just be the ticket.

"They are basic and are based on you already installing Bluetooth dongle and being able to confirm that the connection is there between phone and pc as I hope you have successfully sent ringtones/mp3 and photos to your phone from your desktop.

Here goes.
You should have an icon in the status bar of the PC next to the time. DOUBLE CLICK IT. You should see "Motorola phone OBEX object push" this is not normally the obex file you drag and drop the games into. Once you are they anyway on the left-hand side of your screen should be some options, one of these should be "View devices in range" CLICK IT. If you have previously set up the Bluetooth correctly then it should show your phone in range. You would need to make sure that the phone has Bluetooth powered on.
CLICK ONCE on the icon of the phone and on the left you should see some more options and one which says "discover services" CLICK IT.
This will then bring up another set of icons which you think you have already seen, but here is where you drag & drop your .jar files into the "OBEX OBJECT PUSH ON MOTOROLA PHONE" and then it will attempt to connect to the phone and install the games. "

Bummer!!!!!! Followed all the steps exactly as above. Phone beeps and says "file being transferred" or some such message. I get the little "copying..." dialog on my desktop.

However, after a few minutes I get an error dialog that says the connection was lost. Anybody seen this/know how to deal with it?

I am trying to load the F1 racing game that TagHeuer has available on their website (goto TagHeuer.com, click Multimedia tab, then click I think the phone tab to find .jar file for your model of phone).

FINALLY got this work! Actually, I found out about a little trick that has not been mentioned here yet-- if you have problems with the connection getting dropped during transfer, try removing the battery for 30 sec and then putting it back in and trying the object push once again. It sounds strange, but it worked for me. A full explanation can be found here:

If you want to try out the TagHeuer games (IRL Challenge and F1 Challenge) go here:

Were not allowed to give out such things, its warez. Im sorry but thats as nice as it gets on this subject. I'd have no problem giving you a link if I had it but if you'd like to ask these questions email one of the members, just don't ask on the board.

I'm sorry, but he said "free," and never said anything about "stolen" or "hacked" or "warez." Not everything that is free is warez, otherwise this tidbit of knowledge would be "warez."
Cheers.
