I just migrated over to Cingular from AT&T and got a new phone (v551). I'm trying to get pokerroom.com's mobile client to download to my phone and it says that the phone isnt supported (when it is). They indicate that this means that Cingular doesnt allow us to download 3rd party programs directly to our phone. Is this true? Is there a workaround for this?

there might be something wrong with the site or something. cause you can download from anywhere if ur internet works

No, not at this time.

downloading stuff is just like using the regular internet but the pages are programmed differently.
if you goto wap.google.com thats downloading info from the net. so you should be able to with the right type of files.

Well I duno then..theres nothing wrong with the site my friend got it on a different phone and it works great...

what carrier does he have?
one of my friends have downloaded content from 3rd party site b4.
I persoannly have used the old fashin walmart trick for a long time. Those are MP3 files and those all worked....

Cingular..just has a nokia instead of the v551.

well hell my phone says its poly phonic capeable but i cant find a website that it will work at, atleast a free website
