I am new to this forum, I have read alot of great stuff written by courteous and knowledgable posters, what a great site.
I figured out how to transfer files like pics and MP3s to the phone to my PC and vica versa. What that OBEX means in the "my Bluetooth Places" is still a stumper to me.. at least I dont have to deal with it......... .but anyway
Can I transfer files by Blue tooth from phone to phone? I tried to have each phone discover each other separately and then together but no dice on that one.
I know there must be a way to do this, and it's likely a rudimentary procedure, but I am looking for any suggestions. Someone must know how to do this.
Thanks for your time and you rock for reading this.

Yes, you can. Select a file you wish to transfer via BT. Press menu key (3 bars), highlight copy. Follow prompt and make sure the other devie is BT compatible and have Bt turned on.
You cannot transfer any files that have the padlock icon next to it. It is like copyright. Of course if you really, really, really want it, there are ways around it. Seem editing.

Thanks, that was quick.
So the 2 phones dont have to recognise each other first? Like I went through that password "0000" stuff with my headset and PC?

No, it doesn't have to be paired.

Ok Thats what I mean. "Paired". Thanks for the help. The Bluetooth really makes it easy to move the photos out of the phone. I was suprised at the quality of some of the photos we took, obviously not nearly as good as my HP935, but definitely OK to email.
Thanks again. I'll probably have some more topics soon, had phone only 2 weeks now!

Does this mean that in order to copy photos off of my phone I will need to do it via BT or do I need to use another piece of equipment?
Thanks

Either BT or with a USB cable.
