Hey Guys !
I'am on : V20JVWA3 , V20JRWF3 . ( with Arabic support ) . I have tried to upgrade to the G1 , but I never noticed any changes in the G1 firmware compared to the one I had in my phone . I'am really sick at this and I thought that I might get my phone upgraded ! I'am going to Flahs my phone with the P400 Firmware  I hope this could make Samsung happy ! I was wondering why they are not making new updates on the firmware for this great phone and there is still new updates for Nokia 3310 !!!!!!!!

Samsung has the habit of Not making new firmwares when the phones have been disscontinued.
The newest firmware I know of is the V20XXWH2.You will find a link for the download in the firmware flashing section......
Or if you like, you can visit my old v200 group! There you will find tons of mods for the v200!!! So you yourself can choose how you want your phone to look and sound!

Hi ,
Thanks for your reply. but I've heard from people here in the forum that the G1 is the latest Firmware version for V200 .  so , what is the newest one ?? G1 or WH2 ??
also , what do you mean by Mods ?? and what they can do for my phone ??

Once you learn the code behind the firmware names you then see which is the newest....
V20/XX/W/G/1 = V200/NO LABLE/2003/july/first revision.
V20/XX/W/H/2 = V200/NO LABLE/2003/august/second revision.
So you see H2 is the latest.
As for mods!
Mods are small and/or large "Mod"ifications to the firmware! Like for example, change the page menu for somthing more like this!
Click on the image to download.
To add mods like this one you need Optiflash3.1.6 or higher.
First flash to H2 firmware then enjoy any or all the mods I've made for that version!

Yes, I got it . I've been looking into your V200 ModsSquad in Yahoo Groups and I recognized what the mods is and what they can do for my phone . so , they are very similar to upgrading the firware , as long as , you can change the Menu Style , wallpapers , Start-up and Shut down logos , and many other things . that's totally cool !! I'am very interested now to try these mods on my V200 . but may I take a few minutes from your time ??? I have a few questions before going on !
I'am now on version : V20JVWA3,V20JRWF3 . do I have to upgrade my firmware to H2 before uploading your new Mods ?? I hope that this is not necessary , cause I have arabic support in my current firmware and I can't use my phone without the Arabic Language support . I was wondering if I had to ?
also , I have optiFlash 3.7.0.1 . how do I upload the Mods to my phone ?? is it the same way as updating the firmware ??

Sorry! All my mods work only on V20XXWH2 
But nothing is stopping you from making the mods yourself in your firmware!

 Oh Really ?? that's much more intersting than getting the mods . then , how I can do that and what is the software and tools I Have to use ??
