i recently got a motorola v180, when looking around i went into media net, and looked around in all of the sections, apparently i can download ringtones, wallpapers and even games, if i wanted to get a wallpaper would they charge me for that?

yep, the cost is around $2 each, depending on the wallpaper and its price

well now i found this site where you send your phone number and they let you pick pictures saved to your computer, then they send oyu a text messae with a link to a site where you can retrieve teh picture, would following that link cost anything?

you would have to pay for the text message, and the amount of data it takes to download the picture. Its cheaper than through Cingular directly, but the only totally free way to do it is through a cable & software from your computer.

yes the softwae... how do i do that? i have a usb cable from my mp3 player that shyould work, it fits in teh back and everything but how would i go about gteting the stuff ot my phone? i was expecting it to pop up as maybe a portable hard drive where i can just drag and drop pics and stuff in there, but nope, it doesnt, is there some software i can download to do this?

I'm think Motorola makes software for its phones, but I'm not sure. You can try asking in the Motorola forum, unless someone else here who has one can answer that.
