My Nokia 6820 always thinks that the headet is plugged in. It switches to speakerphone just fine. I always see the headset icon on the display. I have tried changing the profile, removing battery, restoring phone defaults.
Any other suggestions??
Thanks in advance!!!!

Checked the port if there is something that might connect the pins? Tried to clean them?

I do not know why it started to work...really....my kids were playing with it, and I also left it on the washer as the washer was washing....might want to try that!! it may have shook something loose in the connector!! good luck...

Hey, I got it working, I found the post above, I have an 18 month old baby and that's what happened... I opened it up, too the battery out and cleaned the be-jaysus out of the contacts on the bottom of the phone.
