Whenever I leave the home area I do not get my voice messages until I return. This doesn't help with business contacts. Any suggestions?

Supposedly this is a "Nationwide" plan but what is power cycling the phone?

I live in the Washington DC area. This has happened in Florida and in Atlanta. When I return to the DC area I would get all my messages flooding in at once.

you being new cingular (orange) and me being former ATT (blue) sorta complicates things but I will give it a shot...
over on this side of the house there is a setting to do not disturb while roaming... I would assume there is something similar on the orange side (sorta makes sense when you look at the situation doesnt it)... it could also be a system issue or a wrong setting on your phone...
I would call customer care...with your phone in hand from a land line phone
first have the check to see if there is a setting like that (do not distirb while roaming)...
if there is no setting of that nature... have them check your voicemail retrieval number... recent updates on the blue side have changed a lot of them on this side...mebbe same thin in orange... that could be another cause...
if it is neither of the above it will have to escalate to technical services..the rep should take care of that
