i seem edited the text on my outside lcd when opened, however the backlight doesn't go on while the phone is opened so its a little bit hard to see.
are there any seem edits, or anyway to turn on the outside lcd backlight for at least a few seconds when it is opened?

I dont think so, you can seem edit to have it on all the time when its closed instead of a few seconds but i have not read anything about having it on while open unfortunately.

i know that at least some flashes of the v220 have the outside lcd on when opened, which is why i thought it might be possible. its too bad though

I've looked before and I didnt find anything  not sure if a different flash/flex would change that but the 2 that I have tried didnt change anything and I havent read anything abotu changing it through seem editting.
