I just bought a motorola v600 on e-bay (unbranded) but I am unable to use the T-zones feature. The people from T-mobile (store) told me that if I did not buy it with them I could not use it because I did not have the software. Can anyone help me, I really appreciate it.

Go here and set it up yourself or call Customer care, its not a matter of the software its a matter of the settings, you will also need the settings for the MMS to send pic messages.

Only if you plan on using it, you will need to MMS setting to send pic messages too, remember T-Mobile can only send to Tmobile, AT&T and cingular customers

I have a motorola v600, I used it with cingular then I changed to t-mobile and got a free v180. I didn't like the 180, so I switched in my t-mobile sim. I followed the advice I found on this site and updated my MMS (which also doesn't work) andadded T-zones GPRS. I followed instructions exactly but when I try to connect I get a "Connection unsuccessful, try again later" message. Any advice would be helpful.

I definetly have "T-Zones GPRS" set as my default but both it and "picture messaging have lock icons next to the name. I do not know what this means and I definetly have unlimited t-zones. Also is there any way to change my phones firmware from cingular to t-mobile?
thanks for helping

I would contact customer care maybe a network issue, if you have properly configured your device and set tzones as default then all settings are correct. Yes you can change you need to flash/flex the phone with T-Mobile firmare, read more about these procedures in the Motorola Talk Forum

I can't edit my settings either they have a lock icon next to them. I tried to manually set up a connection and found limited succsess (tried to connect for a while) but still didn't connect. My phone used to be a cingular and the links I used don't seem to be working can anyone walk me through the connection settings for a v600 so I can configure it manually. I really would like to get online with this phone. thank you

Thanks again to the moderators who helped me. A tech at T-mobile fixed my problem over the phone in less than five minutes. I don't know what he did but I didn't even touch a setting on my phone. Anyway I recomend that if any one reading this is having a problem see if T-mobile can fix it. I was suprised by this experience.
