I am curious to know if I can make my own ringtones for my LG VX4500 cellphone? I want to make a a wav ringtone if possible. The one I want to make in particular is of Bo Bice of American Idol.....any of his performances from the show. My carrier is Verizon Wireless in case you need to know. Thanks for any help or advice you are willing to offer me.

I don't see a reply to your inquiry here... and I was wondering the same thing (about if you can create your own ring tones for the LG VX4500). Did you happen to ever find out if it's possible?
I know how to do this with my mom's phone (the LG VX3200 - where you can record a "voice memo" and then use it as a ring tone), but it doesn't help me with my VX4500 - because that doesn't seem to work on the 4500.

Hello,
I never got any kind of response but I finally broke down and bought one from Sony Music Box. They finally got the one i wanted and I just bought it. It didn't cost but $1.99 so that didn't seem to bad to me. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a better answer but that is what I did. Hope this helps.

hehe I can understand that!
Yeah, No problem. My situation (minor as it is) I found a funny "babana phone" song that I have recorded as a "voice memo"-- thinking I could use it as a ring tone (since that's how my mom's, very similar phone works). Ha! THAT'S what I get for thinking! hahaha I can't seem to figure out how to use that in My 4500. Oh well, perhaps another kind person who knows such things will chime in with something clever.
Thanks anyway. I appreciate the response!
Have a good one!

i was reading about a lg 6000 speaker phone trick where you have to record a voice memo as a ringer but you cant so i figure it will work with any phone, go to send a message and add a sound, add a voice memo that you want. Type a random adress and press send and then end quickly before it sends anything. Then it should be in your outbox. Go to the message in the outbox and click save sound in media then you can go to media and save the sound as a ringer. For more help go to http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic14601.html
and read pencilneck's post.

What you need is the Mobile Office Kit ($15 if ordered through Verizon's site, currently out of stock) and a few programs. I have written a walkthrough on my site. Go to http://www.geocities.com/jakethebrikhed/verizon.html and read up. E-mail me if you have any questions; I'll be glad to answer.
