As most Cingular users know, the data plan is REALLY overpriced. Especially when Spring has it for 15 bucks or so.

I spoke with a rep who seemed to know his stuff, and got an email address from him.. data_suppport@cingular.com

I suggest that we all start emailing this address and letting them know that Sprint has a MUCH better priced plan, and it would behoove them to price data plans competitively. The only way they are ever going to drop price, is if people let me know they are unhappy.. Everyone post if you get any responses back, I'd be interested to hear what Cingular says back to everyone.

Thanks
David

I'm sure too. But there more we bug them, the more they realize they suck on this point.. Their service is good.. Their reps can be good.. Their pricing here blows..

We just gotta let 'em know..

I think it would be really cool if this was cross posted and stickied everywhere. Made a lot of noise, and we end up bringing the giant to it's knees... icon_smile.gif

Agreed would be nice if Cingular would give you guys a break on their data packages, looked into getting unlimited internet with Rogers so I could use my Motorola V600 as a modem with my laptop while im out and about... Well unfortunely I found out that with Rogers you have to be rich to get their data plans: Data Service Plans

Or you can pay 0.05$ per KB icon_blink.gif

cingular could care lessn about a few people complaining.. they have millions of paying customers! for all they care you could go to sprint if it is cheaper. sure it would be nice if cingular was a little cheaper but its looking like they are going to keep the same prices. just go to sprit if you want because the prices will stay the same for cingular and i can guarantee it!

Sorry to bust your bubble.. I work for Cingular Wireless Data support. Thats a test email account. Also, I can tell you that complaing to a rep about price plans is going to accomplish absolutely nothing. It's not the fact that we don't understand the price is too high, it's jsut there is not a single thing we can do about it. We have no power at all even to suggest things. I WISH we did. Even our supervisor's have no input. I think the only way to make a difference is with your $$.. I have no clue how we set our price plans.. But I'm guessing its to maximize profit. Gotta love capitalism

They could sue him for breathing too...or sue you for not deleting his post. Or they could sue me because they don't like my style.
