I had this same problem, well guys, I can give you the light I had, that I never pursued. Try the short pin technique and a serial cable. As I was told back in the day when I ruled T720's that was the Only way. Just thought I'd let yall know.

Can someone kindly guide me on how I can restore my phone? I am a complete newbie, but I do have a technical background. From reading some of the items in this forum, I understand that I need to somehow upload an image onto my phone to restore the T720 software that once contained within the phone.
I went out and bought the USB data cable for the phone also. So now I just need some sincere guidance from all you experts. Can someone kindly help me please? |
I don't normally talk much on forums. I had this same problem. After i flashed my phone it would only turn on for a second, then off again. I am also a newbie, only been trying this for a couple days. I finally got my phone working again. I have a t720i gsm phone. I have MSS 3.6, flashflex, and PST 6.7. and some flashes and flex. It took me a lot of trial and error, so i can't be sure to give you a good order to do it in. but the main thing I did to start was to modify my usb adapter. I soldered a wire to pins 13, and 14. Then I shorted them out to turn on the phone. This time the phone stayed on. Then it was just fooling around with stuff to get it to flash. Good luck. Hope this helps
After i got it to flash once, I unconnected the wires, and continued to flash and flex, until i got it to work.
