My T720 use to work, but now it does not. For some reason, when I power it on, I just get backlit screen and then it turns off. I was told there is no software in it. Can someone kindly guide me on how I can restore my phone? I am a complete newbie, but I do have a technical background. From reading some of the items in this forum, I understand that I need to somehow upload an image onto my phone to restore the T720 software that once contained within the phone.
I went out and bought the USB data cable for the phone also. So now I just need some sincere guidance from all you experts. Can someone kindly help me please?

DO you have any software to use with your cable ie. MPT, P2Kman, PST?? If so does your computer recognize the phone when its plugged into the cable?

Hi there,
Yes I downloaded some software, but unfortunatley the software such MSS, PST will not recognize the phone when it is plugged into my USB port, because the power just comes on for a second, then turns back off. Had the power stayed on, I guess then my computer would have recognized it. Any help and guidance is much appreciated.

If you know anyone with the same phone I would try their battery, does the phone stay on when you have it plugged into the charger??

ok I will try that, I have some spare batteries, and the phone does not stay on when in the charger. It seems like the software on the phone has completely disappeared ...:S Many thanks for your quick reply, I will take necessary action tonite, and will let you know.

Okay........here are the results............had 2 spare batteries (charged) and still my phone turns on and then immediately off, with a blank screen. Any other things I should try?? Please help.

Tried power on without sim card (longshot by try), if you get to the insert sim screen and the phone doesnt crash get to work fixing ASAP lol.
Or start up in boot loader mode *+#+power.

sorry I tried starting the phone in boot loader mode by pressing *+#+power, but still it just turns up for a sec, then turns off with nothing but with a lit screen. Any other recommendations and or suggestions?

Also is there any way to upload its software back into the phone, because I know for sure there is no software in the phone or the flash file has vanished.
