I got my Motorola V551 (made by AT&T) unlocked to use with my cingular sim card. I just got my GPRS settings right to connect to the internet but now I found out that I my text messages fail to send to everyone. People can text message me but I cant text them. How do I fix this?

With patience and signal. My V551 has its tiffs about sending messages, but usually if it takes a little time to send. Otherwise you may need to setup your MMS settings. As it was a XOver from ATT to Cingular.

well I have a moto v80 that i just bought unlocked. It can send and recieve the mms messeges, and recieve the sms but only once a day will it send. I called T-mobile and talked to there "unsupported devices" department. they said it was a problem with the phone itsself. I get great signal most of the time.

when i first got my phone it sent sms messeges just fine, but after i set up the internet part of it something whent wrong. So could it be the internet settings are interfering with the text meseging?

I have the same problem with my ghetto V635. I fix the problem by just restarting the phone and it fixes it.

Go this site and send the settings to your phone, http://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/cingular/ota/configuredevice.as p, and if that doesn't work there is a tab on the site called device tutorials, go that and it'll show you what you need to do from your phone. It worked for me because I had issues sending mms' but now it's perfectly fine. I hope this works for you.

Hi there! I had the same problem! What a pain, the thing is, I changed so many settings that I dont know which one exactly did the trick. Since this phone has yet to be released in North America all of the settings on the phone are for likely France.

Your best bet is to do a search in the Cingular Forum and search for MMS or configuration or V80. I found most of my information on this site and I looked EVERYWHERE!

I basically changed almost all the settings in the phones MMS, Browser and network settings.

have a great one!
