THE SOLUTION! I kid you not!
Hi Guys,
Okay - Here's the deal... I had this working at some point, so I knew it wasn't a hardware issue. But after a format, I redownloaded the files from the samsung homepage, so I figured it might be an issue with the 2.0 usb drivers. Well enough babbling - this is the solution to the problem (atleast for the shg-e730 people out there).
The solution: Download the 1.0 USB drivers and install. That should solve it. The thing is to get windows to accept the drivers... just use auto install and it should find em itself. Just remember to uninstall the 2.0 drivers first. Btw - Pims 2.0 is working fine with the 1.0 drivers. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Btw - this is for the problem with connection, port and alike.
Ok.. I need some help.
I FINALLY managed to get the whole thing connected but now I cannot transfer files to or from my D900 phone using the PC Studio 3 I was given with phone. All I want to do is put music on it and take photos off. However, it just keeps coming up with "CM_ERROR_WRITEFILE" for anything i try to put on there. Someone help!! Please!

Ok I thought I'd post for all you E350 users who are having problems installing and using PC studio and PIM & File Manager.
I used to get the offline problem and it would never recognise my phone but after finding this solution online....it works!!
Quote:
Go to the samsung website and download PC Studio 3.0 (i selected the D600 phone) and install that. When installed it will ask how you connect your phone, so choose USB. It will attempt to search, at this stage plug in you phone and it should install.
Now the software will say that you phone is not compatible but we know that so ignore and close the software.
Now install PIMS 2.0, and when installed run the software. Your phone should still show as offline, but go to file, setup and hopefully you can choose your usb port, click ok and it should be detected, hit reload and off you go!

Ok i have a samsung d500 phone and the correct connector for my PC. Like a lot of people on this forum, I can't transfer images to my phone. Or anything else. I have PC studio and I have the file manager.
In PC Studio, everything is greyed out, even though it says it is connected to my phone.
In the file manager, it says it cannot open the port and it's offline.
I know nothing about ports or the file manager program, but its not working. By looking at other people's responses, i've installed everything i need to. Please reply as if I know nothing about computers
So HELP!

samsung recently released an update for PC studio.. from the pc studio page, under tools, select check for updates (or something like that) and that should help. if you already have had downloaded the updates, try uninstalling the software and reinstalling it. also use Manage Multimedia as opposed to File Manager to transfer songs.

my problem is that when i try to transfer a song to my d807, the transfer goes smoothly, i look in the folder (on cpu) where i xfer my music to the phone, and the one particular song is there in the phones folder, but once i saftly disconnect my phone from the computer, i look in the folder on my phone where i transferd the song to, its NOT there. kinda fishy.. its not all songs that this does it for, i've tried converting the song even to ACC and transfering, same problem. i don't know if theres some sort of copyright set up or what not, i've even updated the appropriate tags for them.. still nothin.. any suggestions?

I have downloaded the software and it reads my images and displays the list of them. My problem is the download/upload icons are grayed out and I cannot open the image I select to display it..

mayb someone has said this already, or the answers somewhere in this forum, but i probably skimmed it or skipped it ><.
i have a Samsung E730, and i cant get it to be "online". When u go into PC Sync, ur ment to do this id setup or something, but it wont do it for me. My cables right, and my pc responds to my phone. PIMS wont let me choose a port.
I'm confused and frustrated...can someone please help me? I would love them if they do~
