Have you installed the usb driver for the cable? Do you know which COM port it is assigned? If you know it is COM3, go to Files - Setup in PIMS and select COM3 for Ports.

By the way, which phone do you have? Make sure you get a compatible cable for your model as there are many different cables for Samsung phones and they are not compatible with each other.

Hi Lauren
I used to have same problems with my e720
These were the steps i had to do to get mine to work might work with d600
1 install samsung usb driver
2 plug in usb computer should recognise phone and prompt for driver install use the disk that came with the lead
3 install pimms
4 go into pimms setup and set com port to no4

Hope this helps

Hi.

Sorry to bring this thread back up.

I am having the same problem as people above. I brought a cable from eBay for my E800 but the cable I got was for the E700, does that matter?

I have tried to install it and everything, but the PC centre thing keeps saying my phone is offline.

Do I need a new cable?

Thanks,
Jamie.

Hey guys, I was having the same problem, my computer recognized the phone as a storage device but couldn't connect with samsung Application.

I was changing settings on the phone and I changed the USB connection form File storage to Modem.

That fixed my problem, now I can sync, move files, videos, movies, everything.

I hope that this will work for many of you.
