Hey eveyone, Ive been busy so this is my glorius return...
I work at a cell store in NY and we have been getting DOZENS of cingular handsets returned to us because of quality problems. V180's V220's V551's Nokia 6010's 3120's Almost every Cingular handset has had some sort of problem. For customers, we take them through the XBM process and you have to wait AT LEAST 15 mins just to get ahold of a CSR in that dept. When we first started selling Cingular, they told us that each handset model was tested for 400 hours before they added it to their lineup, this seems to me to be a LIE! - Anyone else here have the same problem?

V180's have known issues for both dropped calls and poor service, depending on the S/W version the phone gets dropped calls unless you power cycle everyday (which you should anyways I guess lol) or you get poor service if you have your finger on the antenna while on call (pointer finger on the antenna for more stability). Agreed though phone isnt that great but its entry level Motorola for Cingular/T-Mobile.

No, its not the reception - That is a separate concern, I am talking about, stuck keys, blown earpieces, faulty screens, non-stop battery drain - All concerning the quality of the phone. One week a month or so ago we replaced 9 V180's each with a different un-fixable problems. I am glad to see that the V180 is being spit on, because it was the worst phone I have ever dealt with.
