Did you have the same problem as others that you didn't receive any activation email from mobile-files dot com? If so, have you checked if the email went to the junk/spam box instead of the inbox?

I have received the email, but they wont allow me to download giving me " you do not have permission etc..' screen,

Ok, if you received the activation email, you have to activate your account and when you are in the forum, you have to login to be able to post or download. If you have done all the activation process and still cannot download, you should try posting a topic and ask about the problem that you are facing with your D500. Someone may be able to solve your problem and at the same time, you can mention why you can't download the manual.
