Can anyone help?. Iv'e just got a V3 Razr Black icon_smile.gif On switch on it plays an annoying blast of music and some animation. Can someone explain how to stop this happening. I've read the manual from cover to cover and I cannot find a reference to it. Thank you to anyone who can help me.

Start up and Shutdown animation can be deleted with P2kman not through the menu functions as these are hidden files. Shut down can be stopped through seem editting. You have data cable?

Yes I have data cable (USB) and software supplied with the phone. I use windows XP home edition without SP2. Its going to be good to get rid of this, thanks for your prompt reply.

Okay next step download XVI32 from the same site.
Using P2kman download SEEM 0032_0001

Just change values in above screen shot from 004a to 0032
Make sure when saving you dont rename the file just leave as xxxx_yyyy.seem. Open seems with P2kman:

Start up sound: The moto startup is in 0032_0001 seem at offset 1D, bit #3 (1on, 0off)

Shut down sound: The moto shutdown is in 0032_001 seem at offset 31, bit #0 (1on, 0off)

Load custom seems back to phone:

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE BACKUPS OF SEEM 0032_0001 before you mod, save backup to different folder then the 0032_0001 you are going to edit.

I have down loaded the additional files but I have problems.
1, I cannot see the seem in the pk software
2, what is the other software for? It will open the seem file and present the file in hex but there is no information as you describe.
3 I'm going nuts.................... icon_cry.gif

The hex editor does not dispaly any 'understandable text.' the files you suggested are downloadable to the 'desk top' but cannot be read in P2k as described in your reply to me. I cannot edit the seem files in P2K because I cannot 'load' them into P2K for editing. The 'addresses' you suggested for editing can not be dispalyed by any of the software you have offered to solve the problem. In effect I'm stuck!, but thank you for your help, Its just that I'm obviously thick.
