Hello everybody, I have the same problem. I bought a compatible CA-42 cable via taobao.com(like ebay, but it is more popular in China than ebay.com.cn). The driver provided by Nokia cannot work with the compatible CA-42 cable, so I guess we have to install a nonofficial driver. I also got a driver CD, if anybody need the nonofficial driver for CA-42 cable, I'll upload it.

Today a German friend provided me the following link:
The driver for CA-42 it shows is the one I've got, but I don't understand German so that I'm not sure whether it provides downloading. Can any body have a try?
Note: there are both original driver and compatible driver on that page, don't mistake them.

This is a collection of links to threads of the forum with different topics regarding cables.
The threads which are linked also provid you with the drivers for the real and the compatible cables, but you've to register to download.
But the original drivers are included within PC Suite and with a little effort you can find them on one of the Nokia websites.
