I was in the market to purchase a new phone, my V600 has given me nothing but trouble since I bought it. I wanted to replace my phone and PPC PDA with one device. I was waiting for Cingular to get a full size one and finally the Siemens SX66 came out.
I go to my local Cingular store to look at one, this was not a agent or reseller. I did not see them in and asked the sales person when they would be in. His reply was "We will not be stocking them. They are too expensive" I could not believe the answer. He said well you can order one and it might take a week or two to get here. I told him there was no way that I would spend $500 on a phone that I could not touch and try out before hand.
Funny thing is though this one is to expensive but the Treo is only $50 cheaper.
Any one else run into crap like this?

No it was not an agent. It was a Cingular owned store.

haha funny, today a customer came into my store and ask the same question and i gave him the same answer lol....
yes its an honest answer, i didn't want to make up bullshit about how we don't have the phone in stock. but not many stores stocks the sx66, way to expensive.

Funny, I went to a store and they had 2 in stock. Showed my badge, got the discounted price and walked out.
You're right though...I left empty handed. I can buy a POS Car for that much.

why would a corp store not stock a phone? we stock them here no matter how much they cost.
