hi everybody.
i just got a d500, and want to upload a few java games, mp3s, pics. etc
I installed the USB driver from the samsumg.co.uk website and
THEN uninstalled (existing copy of) PIM/File Manager v1.0.
THEN i installed v2.0
now, i open v2 up and go to setup and there is NO OPTION at all to select a port (ie. com1/com2) like in the previous version... its just blank!
ideas? i've done a few searches but come up empty handed.
thanks!

I have a somewhat similar problem.. It doesn't install the USB to Srial bridge.
What cable do you have?

user001,
Just wondering, did you use the usb driver from Samsung website or another driver such as Prolific or others? How you get yours working? Is it just a driver issue?

you can send it to docdaggla[at]goatrance[dot]nl
THANKS!
I do have the driver on disk though I believe, my PC just doesn't recognize a USB to serial when i switch on my phone. It just installs the modem.
Do you have a "straight" cable, or is there a box in the middle of the cable?
After reading on the internet I found out that the box contains a chip that you need. I have this cable:
Is the driver called PL2303.exe or something like that?
