Does anybody know if its possible to delete these original pictures and ringtones that came with the phone?

Yes just view or listen to them and select options on the right, select erase.
You can also select erase all if you have not added any new stuff, or if you have a data cable and can just re-add your custom data.

Doesn't work that way. . .it would only allow you to Set As, Download and message. I wanna delete the stuff that came with the phone.
