Within the next few days I shall be creating a D500 Screen Replacement Guide/How to take it apart!
I'll be hosting it on my crappy Geocities site, but if anyone else wants to host it, you'll be ore than welcome to do so, as long as you ask me!
Please post your comments if you think it'll be useful!
Many Thanks,
JG!
(Obviously it'll take a bit to construct, so please be patient!)

I bought it off ebay! £29.95!
Do a search for "D500 screen" you'll have to look through the listings, but they're there!

You can buy manufacturer screens from the following site for £49.99 and for a further £15, they'll fit it for you.

I've managed to get mine apart after buying new case off ebay to look at. There are 2 screws at the top each side of the camera under little chrome covers. You then have to remove battery & the screws from the inside. Pop this bottom part out & with the phone slide open you can just get your nails in to release the top part of the back. Slide the phone closed & gently lift the inside up but be careful of the ribbon. There are 2 screw going into the front cover from the inside. The front should now pop off. I've put a new screen in mine but it still don't work. There's just a blank white screen now. I can dial out etc just no display so I must have done something wrong. You need a really fine soldering iron & some sort of tweezers to fit the lcd ribbon ( which I didn't have & may have damaged the ribbon) Good luck to all who try
thanks
Neil
