I dont know the answer but i think he means if there is a website that will allow you to find out the service provider for a given phonenumber.

that is next to impossable to do.
Ex;
Here localy, T-mobile numbers are USUALLY 316-990-****, or 519, 993, ect.
And Cingular is 305, 253, 259, 200, ect.
So A web site that would have all this info would be good however, witht he new WNP any carrier can have any number. so theres no way to know 100%.

Plus stuff like that changes everyday, the average person doesnt keep the same cell phone number, as long as say a landline number. I have seen account were people have had 20 Mobile number changes in 1 year
