how do I unlock my nokia 6600 mmc when i didn't put any password at all? how do i get to the drive c of my unit? how can i access mmc store? thanks.

Well, if you haven't done anything with the phone now, you could have luck.
You would need a filebrowser like FExplorer (it's free, you can find it via Google). With this filebrowser you can browse the C: drive.
On the C: drive go to c:\system\
There should be a file called "MMCSTORE". You can open this file with a texteditor. At the end of this file there should be the password.
If there isn't a "MMCSTORE"-file you unfortunatly can't do a thing.

thanks a lot for the quick reply! =) i just downloaded the fexplorer. upon opening of the mmcstore, it prompted "FExplorer: unknown file format" (what went wrong?), but fortunately, when i checked the Hex/Text Editor of the mmcstore, it revealed the password!!! but you know what??? when I keyed in the password, it still won't unlock my memory card, hu hu hu ='( HELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then rename the file to mmcstore.txt
Maybe the editor didn't displayed it correctly.

did it already, still the password won't get thru.. guess there's no chance left for me to retrieve all the files stored and apps installed. but then, I DON"T CARE ANYMORE! if the only way for me to use my 512mb mem card again is to format it, then i would definitely do that. problem though, i don't know how to. puhlease be patient with me, I NEED your assistance so badly. can you teach me how to do the formatting step by step? thank you so much!! you're my ONLY HOPE...

Well, if there is a password set you can't do anything about it. A cardreader won't read the card now. And the phone won't do it without the password.

The editor in Fexplorer seems to input only numbers and no text...am i missing something here?

Hello Friends , I just did that formatting of mine friends Nokia 6600 256 MB MMC .It was locked too. I just unlocked it. Its very Easy. Just use the names given on the memory card. Mine was Helix. I just wrote Helix and it was unlocked thats all. Very Easy . I used a software using a Card Reader. I have a software for formatting using ur own mobile. Tell me if u want any. bye take care..

Hey guys I just get memory card from my friend it is OEM nokia 6600 memory 32mb and it asks for pass code. It works with his phone with no asking but asks me when I put in my nokia 6600. I tryed 0000, 12345, 123456 do not work.
